SPIYF Borehole Project

Access to clean water remains a challenge for many underserved communities. In a rural area within the FCT, a newly commissioned borehole has transformed daily life—eliminating the need for long, exhausting treks in search of water.

As part of its commitment to improving lives and promoting community well-being, the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Foundation commissioned a borehole project in a rural community within the FCT. Prior to this intervention, residents had no access to a clean water source and were forced to walk long distances daily to fetch water. This project now provides safe, accessible water, significantly easing daily burdens and enhancing the health and dignity of the community.
